Do you Have a Super Fan? 🎸

Having been introduced to the show "Joe Pera Talks With You" a while back, I would classify it as a very much a “coming home” type of feeling. Being raised in a small town, much of the show's slowness and connection to the town's people was similar to my own experience. Even though the show is current, it feels like Joe's approach to life is very much like he's in the 1970s, pre cell phones and a simpler take (growing green beans, taking his grandma to get her hair done, and working as a music teacher).

Each episode Joe walks you through a part of his life and how it relates to living in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. It's very comforting, a show I could watch before bed and leave on a good note.

So when I watched the episode where Joe Pera discovers the Who’s song “Baba O'Riley”, it stuck with me for years. How many of us in our lifetime hear or experience something and wonder where has this been all of my life?

If you watch the movie clip, you get some insight of those feelings of euphoria that Joe experiences and how he can't get enough of “Baba O'Riley” from the Who (or as my brain will always remember it "Teenage Wasteland") -- talk about passion and satisfaction!

What stands out in this scene is how Joe takes a huge scoop of ice cream out of the bucket of ice cream (totally reminds me of how we consumed ice cream as kids). Joe orders pizza and then invites the pizza guy to rock out with him and eat pizza. It’s very earnest.

Now think of your business and how much you want your clients to feel like" Joe Pera" when they discover you and what you offer. Wouldn't it be amazing to feel that high and be excited to experience what you offer and how it affects their life.

It could be as simple as how you help them with their finances, home, business, legal problems, health, kids and so much more. Imagine having a few Joe Pera's in your network that share their passion of how you helped them with their friends and acquaintances. Working with more like-minded people who are excited to work with you, they understand what you can do for them and totally trust you because "Joe Pera" vouched for you.

As folks who offer services instead of products, it's a unique experience we have with our clients. Our services are part of ourselves and can’t help but give away a part of ourselves when we do our work. That's what makes us so unique and why it's important we attract the right type of client.

Don't get caught up in vanity numbers of social media and email, most of you only need a few super fans each month or year to really help create your income stream. Wouldn't you like your own "Joe Pera" to sing your praises to their community. Focus on your super fans, they won't let you down.

Not sure how to reach or talk to your superfans? Let's talk, I have some great ideas and experience with this.   Let me know and let's talk!
